Connect to the private network
Applications marked NetBird in your Workspace are not on the open internet. Your device reaches them through NetBird, a small app that opens an encrypted connection to A3JM's private network. You set it up once per device; after that it connects by itself.
You need two things: the NetBird app on your device, and this server address, typed
exactly as shown: https://netbird.a3jm.com. You sign in with your usual
A3JM account (the same one as this Workspace). There is no separate NetBird password.
iPhone or iPad
- Open the App Store, search for NetBird, tap Get and confirm with Face ID or your passcode.
- Tap Open.
- On the first screen, choose to change the server (it may say Change server, Continue with Management URL or Advanced) and type https://netbird.a3jm.com.
- Tap Connect. When iPhone asks to Add VPN Configurations, tap Allow and confirm with your passcode. This is how NetBird creates the encrypted connection.
- A sign-in page opens: tap Continue with A3JM, sign in, and confirm with your authenticator.
- Back in the app it shows Connected. Done.
Android
- Open the Play Store, search for NetBird, tap Install.
- Tap Open.
- Choose to change the server and type https://netbird.a3jm.com, then Continue.
- Tap Connect. When Android asks to allow a VPN connection, tap OK.
- On the sign-in page tap Continue with A3JM, sign in, confirm with your authenticator.
- The app shows Connected. Done.
Mac, Windows or Linux
- Download NetBird from netbird.io/download and install it like any other app.
- Open NetBird. Its icon appears in the menu bar (Mac) or the system tray (Windows).
- Click the icon → Settings → set the Management URL to https://netbird.a3jm.com and save.
- Click Connect. Your browser opens: Continue with A3JM, sign in, confirm with your authenticator. On a Mac, allow the VPN / network extension if asked.
- The icon shows Connected. Done.
Using it
- Keep NetBird connected (it reconnects by itself after a restart). Then open the NetBird-marked applications from your Workspace as usual.
- Once a week NetBird asks you to sign in again. Tap Continue with A3JM: if you answered Yes to Stay signed in? at your last sign-in, a browser page opens and closes by itself; otherwise enter your password and 6-digit code.
- Sign-in refused? Your account has not been given private-network access yet. Ask the person who approved your account; nothing on your device is wrong.
- An application does not open? Check that the NetBird app says Connected, then reload the page.
- Lost or replaced a device? Tell an administrator so the old device is removed from the network.
The address https://netbird.a3jm.com is the network's control server: you only type it into the app. Opening it in a browser shows an administrators' page you do not need.
